PROJECT PROPELLER

2008: Old Warden - 31st May

Yet again Project Propeller has found another new and exciting venue. PP08 will be flying-in to Old Warden airfield, home of the Shuttleworth Collection.

Here are some brief but important notes for pilots planning on coming to PP08:

  • Up to 100 aircraft can be accept for the fly-in.
  • All aircraft must be radio equipped and serviceable.
  • Pilots are to avoid arriving on the half hour but to spread arrival during the half hour of their slot to avoid congestion
  • The runway extension will be available providing a runway length of 965 metres.
  • A Flight Information Service will be provided that day on our frequency 130.7
  • Fuel, marshalling and fire cover will be available throughout the event
  • Visiting Pilots Notes will be available on in the PP 'Briefing Room' nearer the time.

Non-grass or LDA/TODA Limited Aircraft

For those aircraft unable (or those pilots unwilling!) to land on grass, we have arranged for Duxford as an alternate airfield and we shall be operating a shuttle service between the two sites.

Pilots wishing to use Duxford rather than OW must contact Dennis Ray on 07806-784732 ASAP to confirm arrival times at Duxford so that the shuttle flights can be scheduled.
Further, Duxford is STRICTLY PPR, you must also call them for permission/slot time..

More news as we get it - but one thing is for certain: you'd better register soon!
