Past Meets: RAF Coningsby 2013

Project Propeller is an annual reunion for 150+ WWII aircrew, to which they are flown from all over the UK in light aircraft by current volunteer pilots. It is now over for another year – a big thank-you to those of you who gave so generously of your time and aircraft to provide the WW2 veterans with their annual get-together, and to the people of RAF Coningsby, who were so generous with their time and resources.

Once again, the organisers have received a lot of appreciative messages through the forums and by e-mail & phone this year and it seems that - by general acclaim - 2013 was possibly the best event yet, despite difficult weather conditions for our pilots and for the BBMF.

A SLIDE-SHOW can be seen here (Press F11 for full-screen view).

It typically costs over £4,000 to stage PP (marquee, catering, entertainment, etc) and it is tough to break even.
